アンモナイト帽子
くるりん、とした所がアンモナイトっぽいのでBaoが「アンモナイト帽子」と呼んでいる作品です。らせん状にグルグル作っていきます。最初の横ソーセージは、かぶる人の頭に合わせて長さが変わります。ゆるすぎず・きつすぎず上手に作ってね。配色を変えたり、季節のネタをくっつけたりして楽しんでください。 Ammonite Hat: Using spiral weaving you can make this colorful hat easily.

>>>ベース部分を作る>>>尻尾を17cm残してふくらませた260を8本用意する。ここではオレンジ・山吹色・黄色・ライム・ウインターグリーン・赤・スプリングライラック・ピンクを使用。
Balloons are divided to two groups. One is colored balloons for vertical direction. The other is white balloons for weaving horizontal derection. Colored balloons are eight and inflated leaving about 17cm uninflated tail.

尻尾を13cm残して260白をふくらませ、まずオレンジと結び合わせる。
First white balloon is inflated leaving about 13cm uninflated, and tie with a colored balloon.

白でソーセージ1つ(ここでは9cm・かぶる人の頭に合わせて変えてください)。ひねった所にピンクをしばりつける。同様の作業を繰り返し、8本全てをしばりつける。最後に白でソーセージを1つ。最初のオレンジと結び合わせて丸くする。この状態で、頭にかぶってみてサイズが合っているかチェックする。
Twist a 9cm white bubble, and tie a next colored 260 to here. Then repeat this step total seven times and then twist a 9cm white bubble with the first knots together to cmplete a big circle that must be fit your head. If this circle is tight, retwist the last white bubble longer. If this circle is too big for your head, retwist the last white bubble shorter.

白でソーセージ1つ。ピンクで4cmのボール。白とひねり合わせる。ここから、らせん2周目になる。
Twist a 9cm white bubble and a 4cm colored bubble together. Then repeat as following pictures.

横の白をひねって、各色の縦とからめていく作業を繰り返す。白が短くなったらしぼませて結び、
When the rest of a white 260 is too short to twist, deflate, tie and remove the excess. And here add a new white 260.

新しくふくらませた物を継ぎ足していく。上へ行くにつれて短くひねっていくことになる。継ぎ足す白は、ふくらます長さを短く・尻尾を長く残した物に変えていく。

3周目を作った所。人の頭はいきなり細くなっていないため、最初の3周ぐらいは白の長さを変えずに、ずん胴に作る。
After you make three lines fit your head, then next stage starts.

4周目から白のソーセージを少しずつ短くしていく。
A little shorter white bubble that construct cone shape hat.

6周した所。途中から円錐状になっている。

>>>片方のツノを作る>>>7周めから2つに分けていく。ここではオレンジの後に、直径の長さに白でソーセージを1つ。真ん中を横切って、対角のウインターグリーンのボールにからめる。この先は下半分の4本を使って時計回りにグルグルと作っていく。
If you want a cone shape hat, repeat steps to the end. And here I recommend a two antenna hat. Because two curled antenna hat can cancel the lack of twisting technique, though a simple cone shape express your skill immediately.

直径に渡した白ソーセージ・外側の白、共に少しずつ小さくしながら縦の4本とからめていく。
Select four neighboring colored balloons, then weave them for a antenna.

ツノを外側にカーブさせるために、カーブの内側の縦は短めに、カーブ外側の縦は長めにひねる。
To curve outer deirection, outer bubbles of the antenna should be smaller.

ツノ拡大図。左のライム(内側短め)と右のウインターグリーン(外側長め)との違いに注目。

どんどん細く、カーブさせて作っていく。途中で1色減らし、残り3本の縦と横の白とでからめていく。ここでは黄色を脱落させた。

しばらく作って、次はオレンジが脱落。
Some colored balloons are omitted to make the antenna thinner. Deflate, tie and remove.

残り2本と白で数段作り、しぼませて結んでおく。しぼませた部分は本体に縛りつける時に使うので、切り落とさない。

途中で脱落させた色は、しぼませて結び、切り捨てる。結び目は内側へ押し込む。穴があいたようになっている箇所は、しぼりひねりを作ってからしぼませると、仕上がりが美しくなる。

>>>もう片方のツノを作る>>>残った4本でもう片方のツノを作っていく。白をふくらませ、赤と結び合わせる。直径の長さに白でソーセージ、オレンジのボールとひねり合わせる。
Attach a new white 260 for another antenna.

最初のツノと同様に、カーブさせ、1色ずつ脱落させながら細く作っていく。
Make second antenna.

左右にツノができた。

ツノの先を、適当な位置に裏側で結びつける。
Curve the antenna, and fix to the body.

もう片方も同様に結びつける。

きれいなカーブで完成!!
